Email servicesSet up an E-Mail Account

First, information about the e-mail servers:

Incoming e-mail server pop3.canadaemails.com

Outgoing e-mail server smtp.canadaemails.com

Second, information about your account: 

The account name must be entered as name only

Your account name and password

Secure Password Authentication can be arranged with your account administrator. Otherwise do not enable this.

Your Account name is:'username' , the first part 
of your E-Mail Address ('username' @ CanadaEmails.com)
or your E-Mail Address ('username' @ E-Me.ca) *
* About Domains: If you have been assigned by CanadaEMails Support an E-Mail account at a different ("virtual") domain, the same settings apply, just interchange the correct domain name wherever you enter your FULL e-mail address.

  • Click the Start button.

  • Point to All Programs.

  • Click Outlook Express or your alternate E-Mail Client (like ThunderBird or Eudora) if installed.

In Outlook Express click Add, and then click Mail to open the Internet Connection Wizard. The procedure is something similar in all other email clients.

  1. On the Tools menu, click Accounts.
  2. Select an account and then click Properties.
  3. Change the information as needed on the appropriate tabs and "finish" with "OK", "Apply" or Finnish" depending on what Mail User Agent you are using.

See and read the illustration at right. Under "General" enter your E-Mail address or your name as you would like to see it displayed. Again at "Name:  type your name, then your "Organization" or leave it blank, type your E-Mail address and the reply address if different from your E-Mail address.

Outgoing  Authentication

SMTP authentication is not required but is available at CanadaEmails. If authentication fails, after selecting tthis feature ("My Server Requires Authentication") your password may need changing. Contact support.

Entering the Login Information for a New Account Windows XP

This asks for your "Account name" which is the first part of your email address -- NOT the full email address.

Carefully type your assigned password and select "Remember Pasword"

To send an E-Mail message

  1. On the toolbar, click the Create Mail button.
  2. In the To or Cc boxes, type the E-Mail name of each recipient, separating names with a comma or a semicolon (;).

    To add E-Mail names from the Address Book, click the book icon in the New Message window next to To, Cc, and Bcc, and then select names.

    To use the Bcc box, on the View menu, select All Headers.

  3. In the Subject box, type a message title.
  4. Type your message, and then click Send on the toolbar.
  5. If you have multiple E-Mail accounts set up and you want to use one other than your default account, click in the From box, and then click the E-Mail account you want to use.
    If you are composing a message offline, your message will be saved in the Outbox. It will be sent automatically when you go back online.
    To save a draft of your message to work on later, on the File menu, click Save. You can also click Save as to save an E-Mail message in your file system in E-Mail (.eml), text (.txt), or HTML (.htm) format.
